We design and manufacture all Zedar Team swimwear in our own factory, this enables us to keep control of the quality standards. We have been retail/direct selling since 1979, over 30 years experience. Zedar is a company owned, Designed and Manufactured in Australia. We produce swimwear for Competitive Swimming, Lap Swimming, Exercise, Recreation, Hydrotherapy and Aqua Aerobics for Men, Women and Children. All suits carry the Zedar guarantee.
Zedar Swimwear is a family owned and operated company, Started by Sue Elsdon, Sue being a dress maker and designer, started making Ballet leotards for her 3 daughters in 1977, because she wasn’t happy with the products available at the time. She started making leotards with the then new and innovative fabric Nylon/Lycra, and this is where she honed her skills with stretch fabrics. So after many comments and requests she started to dress the whole ballet school and then spilling over to other schools as well as gymnastics and callisthenics, and the company was born.
In 1983 Sue started designing swimwear for the Zedar range, changing the direction of the company. Our experience in retailing goes back as far as 1979 when we opened our first shop selling leotards, and where our ethos for customer service started and direct marketing.
